Ernesto Arenzana Abad was born November 3, 1932 in San Felipe Zambales, Philippines and was 91 years of age. Surrounded by loved ones, Ernesto completed his journey here on earth and began his eternal life on October 16th, 2024, just less than a month shy of his 92nd birthday. During the last 7 years of his life, he resided in Mission Viejo California.
Ernesto was a compassionate, giving, resilient, determined, stern and loving brother, devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grand-father. He was the “glue” to not only his family but the entire extended Abad family. Ernesto earned his mechanical engineering degree from Feati University in the Philippines and received the highest score in his professional engineering board exams. Ernesto worked as a mechanical engineer designing HVAC systems for the County of Los Angeles, Northrop, and McDonald Douglas. He enjoyed gardening and growing vegetables, playing golf, traveling, dancing the cha cha and tango, but most of all, spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren. Ernesto was very sociable and always took time to acknowledge everyone. He was also a freemason and was an active member of the Torrance Masonic temple where he participated in many charity events and advocate for promoting the welfare of others.
Ernesto lived a long and successful life. He overcame many struggles and was the creator of his own destiny. He was an inspiration to all and his presence will be forever cherished.
Predeceased by his mother Beatriz, fathers Santos and Justo, sisters Alecia, Luncia and brother Manuel .
