Elton Monroe Daggs

February 15, 1948 — February 18, 2024

Elton Monroe Daggs Jr aka Butch died Sunday, February 18th 2024 at the age of 76 with family by his side. Butch was born February 15th 1948 to Elton and Agnes Daggs in American Fork, Utah. In his early years Butch was an avid surfer and skier and thrill enthusiast. In 1969 he was drafted into the war and served in Vietnam then as a reservist until he was honorably discharged in 1975.

Upon his return in 1974 he went back to work at Pat’s Ski Shop and continued his thrill enthusiast lifestyle. In May of 1974 he was paralyzed in a motorcycle accident and became a quadriplegic. It was at this time that Butchs dedication to himself and his family became apparent. He went back to college and graduated with a business degree from Long Beach State. In 1983, he followed a dream and started a wheelchair bag company known as Spanners. Later on, he took on the surfboard manufacturing business where he ran his company for 30 plus years in Huntington Beach, Ca.

In 2011 he retired and began to live the retired life where he traveled and fulfilled his lifelong hobby of building classic cars. Butch was his happiest when he was in his garage and staring at his next classic car project. The louder the engine the faster the car.

Butch is survived by his sister Nancy Miller, Nieces Katie Miller and Kelsey Miller-Willis (Kevin Willis), Great nephew Jaxon Willis, Great Niece Taylor Willis, Brother in Law Robert Miller and Sister in law Jean Necas as well as many loving family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes on Saturday, March 9th at 10am. Reception will follow at Nancy and Jeans house in Garden Grove Ca.
