Elodia S Torres

Elodia S. Torres, daughter of Ciro A. Soto and Anastasia S. Soto, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2021 at the age of 97. She was born on January 13, 1924 in "La Rambla", San Pedro, CA, and had been a lifelong resident. Elodia was preceded in death by her husband David E. Torres and son Gilbert Torres along with sister, Consuleo Herrera and brother, Richard Soto. She is survived by her loving family, sons; Ernie (Linda) Torres and Albert (Nancy) Torres; daughter, Raquel Hernandez; sister-in-law, Adelina Gonzalez; grandchildren, Richard Hernandez, Lori Anne Mudd, Sherry Lynne Pickering, Albert Torres Jr., David Torres, Wendy Manhard, Michelle Torres-Gill, and Gilbert Torres; and 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Elodia was a homemaker and she enjoyed her gardening, traveling, casinos and especially her cats.
We want to thank Elodia’s caregiver Blanca Delgado, who took very good care of her and is an extended part of the family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 23rd from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Green Hills Mortuary. The Committal Ceremony will be held Thursday, June 24th, 2021 at 12:00 PM in Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes.
