Ella Gwen Maki

Ella, the daughter of George and Lai Fong Lee was born February 12, 1927 in King City, California and passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance, California with family by her side. Ella is survived by Haruo, her loving husband of 60 years; two devoted children, Valerie Gooding and Kelly Maki; son-in-law, Jeff Gooding; her sister, Lupe Chee; her beautiful grandchildren, April, Tristan, Amy, Alex, Amanda, and Matthew, other relatives and friends. Ella lived a life full of love and optimism. A very giving woman, and always eager to help, she had a way of putting everyone instantly at ease. She was always in motion, full of energy, and always looking for ways to enjoy each day to the fullest. Everyone who came into her circle left with more than they brought. She will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be from 10:00-12:00 PM at Green Hills Mortuary, and the memorial service will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 14th, all at Green Hills Memorial chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes.
