Elisa Ann Bagdasar

March 9, 1932 — December 29, 2020

Elisa Denni Bagdasar was born March 9, 1932 in Long Beach, California to Joseph A. Denni and Grace Hodgkinson Denni and was a lifetime resident of the South Bay. She passed away at 6:25 PM on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 after a short illness due to cancer. She leaves behind four children, 7 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She graduated in 1950 from St Anthony’s High School in Long Beach and attended Whittier College and Immaculate Heart College before marrying the love of her life, Jack Henry Bagdasar on August 22, 1953. They were happily married for almost 43 years prior to the death of Jack in April 1996 due to gastric cancer.

They were blessed with four children: daughter, Laura Ackermann (Jim), her children Andrew (Shannon) and granddaughters, Samara and Avery and daughter Natalie; daughter, Diane Dalessio (Michael, deceased 2012) their children Megan and Jack; daughter, Susan Trible and son, Patrick Mnatzakanian; and James Bagdasar (Jan) and their daughters Brooke (Tom) and Claire, along with many nieces and nephews.

Elisa was employed as a Special Education Aide at Silver Spur School and later at Rancho Vista Elementary for over 13 years. She also worked for the Denni Corporation for 21 years as Corporate Secretary and for the final 11 years as President.

Elisa volunteered as a Docent at the Banning Museum since 1984. She was involved at St John Fisher Church with the RCIA Program, Sandwich Ministry, and as a Bereavement Minister for 17 years. She was also a member of Mary Potter at Little Company of Mary Hospital since 1992.
Elisa was a generous loving mother who devoted herself to her family. She had a servant’s heart and donated time to her church, community and others in need.
She is, and will be, deeply missed by her family and friends.
