Elida Alvarado Rojas, child of Vital and Beatrice, was born on February 23, 1921 in Palmares, Costa Rica. She had 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
Elida, married Jose Jafet Elient Fonseca-Mora and they had 6 children: Jose, Judit, Jafet, Vidal, Celin and William. In 1966, they moved their family to the United States, settling in San Pedro, California.
She left many loving family members behind, with whom she stayed in close contact by phone. Lela's life was centered around being a dedicated housewife and mom.
They had 19 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren. She loved them all. Lela will be remembered with great love and affection.
