Elfriede (Elfi) Fridericke Haberstroh
Elfi passed away peacefully on October 27, 2020 surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness. Elfi was born in Kaernten, Austria on April 30, 1944 during World War 2. In 1956 she migrated with her mom, step-dad and sister to the U.S. As a young lady she worked as a nanny until she met the love of her life, Stefan, in 1966, whom she married in 1967. In 1968 they increased their family with the arrival of John and then Lisa in 1975. She worked in the Downey Unified School District as a cafeteria worker for 27 years.
During her free time, she loved hosting parties, reading, crocheting, and traveling (especially Laughlin and Las Vegas).
Elfi was predeceased by her Father (1954), Mother (2012), Stepfather (1988), and loving husband, Stefan (September 16, 2020).
She is survived by daughter Lisa (Jesse), John, sister Trudy (Tony), nieces, nephew and numerous cousins in Austria. She was deeply loved and will be missed greatly.
