Elaine Marie Taylor

Elaine Marie (Krondak) Taylor was born on January 10, 1934 in Prague, Nebraska, and passed away on October 6, 2015 in Torrance, California. Elaine grew up in Nebraska and eventually attended Nebraska Wesleyan University where she met her future husband, Leon. After being married, Leon's time in the Navy took them to Washington and then to California. They decided to make California their home. Elaine was the mother of two daughters and was PTA President, Girl Scout Leader, President of the Junior Women's Club, Torrance Citizen of the Year, involved in her church and neighborhood, and yet still had time for her many friends and family. Elaine was also employed for 24 years by the Torrance Unified School District and during her employment served as a substitute school secretary, Assistant Secretary to the Superintendent, and Assistant Business Manager.

Elaine is preceded in death by her mother Viola Krondak, father Victor Krondak, and brother Clifford Krondak. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Leon Taylor; daughters Lori (Larry) Perez, and Shelley Morse; grandchildren Bryan & Alyson Perez, and Daniel & Hailey Morse. Services for Elaine Taylor will be on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Torrance, 1551 El Prado Avenue, Torrance, CA 90501. A private family graveside service will immediately follow at Green Hills.
