Ed faced challenges early on, having lost both of his parents before he could even introduce them to the love of his life, Jeanette. Despite this, he remained a beacon of strength for his family, being the last of six children, which included three sisters and two brothers. The bond between them was unbreakable, and together they celebrated countless milestones, memories, and shared a deep bond.
Ed's personal life was filled with joy and love. He met his cherished wife in 1975 and they began their journey together in matrimony in 1977. Their union was blessed with a son, who brought endless joy and purpose to Ed's life.
Ed's pursuit of knowledge led him to graduate from Napa High and then further his studies at UC Berkeley, earning a Bachelor's degree in City Planning. His thirst for knowledge didn't stop there; he went on to graduate from Golden Gate University and then pursued further studies at USC, majoring in Urban Management.
His professional journey saw him rise to the position of Planning Director in Vallejo. Ed's dedication to his community led him to move to Southern California in 1980, where he rendered his services for the Department of Defense in Gardena. He worked diligently, contributing to the betterment of his community until his retirement in 2003.
Ed will be remembered not just for his professional achievements but for his unwavering spirit, love for his family, and his dedication to his country. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Ed Low.
