Born October 24, 1947 in Portsmouth, Virginia to Marzett and Nellie Brownlee, the Playa Del Rey California resident passed away peacefully on November 26, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.
The retired Educator is survived by his loving wife of 46-years, Georgia Brownlee; sons: Anthony Brownlee and Christopher Brownlee. Ed is also survived by his sister: Irma Solomon and a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, great grand nieces and great grand nieces.
A viewing will be held on Monday, from 3 to 8pm at Green Hills Mortuary. A Celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, 9am at the Knox Presbyterian Church, 5840 La Tijera Blvd. in Los Angeles with a repast and burial to follow in Green Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society.
