Edra M. Anderson

Edra Anderson 2/17/1920 - 8/8/2018

Edra M. Anderson, a 70+ year resident of Redondo Beach went to be with our Lord on August 8th, 2018 after a hard fought battle with dementia. Preceded in death by her husband Irby, daughter's Leta and Carol. She was born in Spadra, Ar. to Wilbur and Mamie Towe. The third of five children. She married Irby and along with son, Bill, they moved to Southern California in the early 1940's. Together, they had seven children, Bill, Bobbie, Leta, Carol, Ray, Gary and Jim.

She worked at Smot Holmand for approximately 10 years. The LOVE of her life was being a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was the rock of our family. She was the happiest when she was surrounded by her family. In her latter days, she would talk to Jesus...asking Him to take her and to please take her whole family with her. Everyone in our family truly loved her. She was a great seamstress and the best cook ever... She was an active member of the Order of Eastern Star for over 60 years, primarily with the Carnation chapter in Redondo Beach. She loved the Lord and was a woman with great integrity. She was one "special lady" and was loved and respected by all and will be missed by all.

She is survived by her sons Bill, Ray Gary (Sue), Jim, daughter Bobbie (Bob). Granddaughters Tammy, Stacie, Angela, Shelly (Jon) and Carrie (Jon). Grandson's Jimmy and Steve (Jamie). Great grandchildren James, Matt, Natalie, Corey, Christopher, Calyn, Cassie, Jordan, Tyler, Lindsey, Nicole. Great great grandson's Bradley, Teddy and Kanyon.

Services will be held August 16, 2018, 11:30am at Green Hills Mortuary 27501 S. Western Ave. Rancho Palos Verdes, Ca 90275
