Edilberto ‌ed” Marrero

Ed, the son of Carmelo and Petra Marrero, was born October 6, 1947 in Puerto Rico and passed away peacefully after battling an illness on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Long Beach Memorial Hospital in Long Beach, California. Ed spent 25 years in the aerospace industry which included Boeing, McDonald Douglas, and Northrop. He enjoyed sailing, traveling to his cabin in the Big Bear Lake area and watching/playing baseball and softball. Ed was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Raymond Marrero. He is survived by Alexis, his wife of 31 years; his three devoted children, Micheal (Larissa), Kim (Jason) Fleischmann, Erin Marrero, and; two sisters, Sandi (Vene) Sy and Eve (Michael) Guest; five beautiful grandchildren, Josh, Riley, Kate, Jared and Cody; his nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. The Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Friday, October 10th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in San Pedro. Interment will immediately follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes.
