Earle was the only child from the marriage of Grace Young and Earl Kneifel. During his early years he demonstrated his talents of being a leader. His first career was a General Engineer which he easily handled. But he was hungry for more education. He tackled the career of being an Attorney which was easy for him and earned kudos from those who benefited from his expertise. As a result he was granted the Juris Doctorate Degree.

When he married Sally, they gained a family: Christopher, Linda and Camden.

Earle was fascinated with sailing for 40 years and became one of the most talented sailors in The Chicago Yacht Club and The California Yacht Club. To learn how to sail, he started his “Sailing Career” in Start-boats in Lake Michigan, where other experienced sailors were stunned with Earle’s natural talent. His favorite hobby was collecting sailing trophies.

Earle and Sally were travel experts. They loved the new sites of Alaska but all-time favorite was Norway, with Earle having Norwegian blood. They loved all the sights and experiences touring Africa and also going by cruise ship to South America, where they were overwhelming with and exciting sites in Chile and the Torres del Paine, with its daunting scenery. They also loved America and traveled extensively through all the states. They having loved the 21 cruises under their belt and never stopped enjoying them.

Earle’s motto was “Everything has a place” and “It is a place for everything”. With his fantastic memory he always knew where things should be.

During his last two years, Earle fell into the talented, specialized caregivers namely Rosy Medina and her team: Rosie 2, Estella and Elena. Earle went to Heaven at home in a peaceful moment surrounded by those who loved him. He was preceded in Heaven by his parents, Earl and Grace Kneifel, and his daughter Linda.

Earle Leroy Kneifel will always be cherished by his wife, Sally Kneifel, his sons Christopher and Camden and his grandchildren, Christina, Christian and Michael.
