Dylan Christopher Poole was born on July 26, 1995 at Little Company of Mary in Torrance, California. He passed away on July 6, 2015, just shy of his 20th birthday. He is survived by his parents Jeffrey and May Poole and younger brother Connor. He also leaves behind his grandfather and grandmother Arthur & Sierra Poole, grandmother Carol Poole, aunt and uncle Lily and Sammy Tom, aunt and uncle Melinda & Robert Richmond, cousins Paige and Perry Richmond, Allyson Ma and Cynthia Lee as well as many other family members and friends.
Dylan grew up on the Palos Verdes Peninsula and graduated from Palos Verdes High School in 2013. He attended the University of California, Santa Barbara his freshman year and transferred to his dream school, the University of Southern California, during his sophomore year, to study Business Administration. He was always an excellent student. At the time of his passing, he was hard at work attending summer school and working as a summer intern at an investment management firm in El Segundo.
An avid sports fan, Dylan was especially passionate about soccer. Starting at age five, Dylan played for AYSO, then continued on to play for Fram Soccer Club, Palos Verdes High School, and the USC Men's soccer team. Dylan's closest friends throughout his childhood and teenage years were his soccer teammates and families. Dylan was a huge fan of the English Premier League and recorded every Manchester United game so he could watch it on the weekends. He had aspirations of studying abroad in London so he could attend a game at Old Trafford, the Manchester United's stadium. Dylan also was very fond of the Los Angeles Lakers and San Diego Chargers, keeping track of every player that was signed or traded. He was very fond of attending all types of sporting events.
In his free time, Dylan worked out regularly with weights at the gym and was making good progress towards achieving his goal of becoming "shredded". He also enjoyed snow boarding and was working on improving his golf game. When time permitted, he enjoyed going to the beach with friends or just hanging-out.
The family enjoyed numerous vacation trips together including multiple trips to each of the Hawaiian Islands, which was his favorite destination. He enjoyed playing on the beach with his brother and cousins, snorkeling, kayaking and eating shaved ice. He also had a strong desire to explore Thailand and Europe.
Always the responsible big brother, Dylan was a role model for Connor, being a positive influence during Connor's formative years, providing advice or help with homework, teachers, and soccer techniques. Dylan was the consummate "chef" in the family, the one with the most discriminating palate. When Dylan made it, it always tasted better.
Dylan was always self-assured and had a very witty sense of humor that would make everyone around him laugh and smile. He was loved dearly by his family and friends and his family is forever proud of him.
