Dora Jane Honeycutt

March 21, 1924 — March 28, 2021

Dora Jane (Winner) Honeycutt was born in Iola, Kansas to Alexander and Mary Winner. She is one of seven children, Bill, Dora Jane, Dan, Seth, Ike, Georgiana and Alex.

At the age of 19 , Dora Jane bought a one-way ticket on a Greyhound bus to Los Angeles and then took the Pacific Electric Railroad to San Pedro.
In 1949 she married James W. Honeycutt, a U.S. Marine. They had four children, Jack, Joanne, Mary and John.

Dora Jane loved her family, friends and square dancing. She was devoted to her Church and saw the best in everyone she met.

A lifelong resident of San Pedro, Dora Jane lived her 97 years of life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Predeceased by her loving husband, James W. Honeycutt, Dora Jane, is survived by her children, Jack Honeycutt, Joanne Honeycutt, Mary (Richard) Sumich, John (Gail) Honeycutt, grandchildren, Roxanne (Kevin) Pesic, Peter (Karolina) Romero, Carolyn Honeycutt, Alex Honeycutt, great grandchildren, Grace and Mae Rose Pesic, and Lydia Romero.

Services will be Tuesday, April 20, 2021, 2:00 p.m., The Pavilion at Green Hills, Rancho Palos Verdes. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Dora Jane Honeycutt to:
