Donna Faye Ferguson Michaelis

June 18, 1951 — May 28, 2024

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Donna Faye Michaelis a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who passed away just shy of her 73rd birthday. Born in Detroit, Michigan she moved with her family as a young child to Lomita, California where she resided her entire life. Donna was known for her caring nature, great sense of humor, quick wits and comfort cooking. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, laughter and memories to last a lifetime.

Donna was a devoted, loving wife to her first true love Thomas, whom she married at 18 and spent 54 wonderful years with. Nothing brought Donna greater happiness and joy than becoming a mother to Greg and Maureen, whose worlds revolved around their loving mother. From Little League to dance recitals, Donna was always supportive, nurturing and involved in everything they did. She was blessed to gain a daughter, in Monika, and loved her as her own. Donna’s abundance of love continued on with the birth of her four grandchildren Tommy, Nicole, Mikey and Amanda. She adored each of them as her heart over flowed with love and joy creating lasting, loving memories with each of them. From sleepovers to pool time to creating fun scavenger hunts, grandma was always there, making life fun. Donna was blessed to meet and welcome her great granddaughter Mila into the growing Michaelis family.
