In Loving memory of Donald Zaccaglin 1935-2020
Born in Canonsburg Pennsylvania July 7th, 1935 to Leonard and Louise Zaccaglin. He grew up in Hawthorne California and served as a Police officer for Hawthorne from 1957 to 1979.
Moved to Canyon Lake Ca in 1981 then back to Hawthorne a few years later. Moved back to Canyon Lake in 1988 with his mom, children and their family’s. Moved to Menifee Ca in 2005.
Survived by his wife Judy Dawson Zaccaglin, Son and daughter-in-law Anthony and Lisa Zaccaglin, Daughter and Son-in-law Gina Zaccaglin Velez and Dan Velez, Grandchildren Bret and Shirley Zaccaglin, Shane and Rachel Velez, Wesley and Haylee Velez, Alexandria and Dax Duesing, Jacob Velez and Zac Velez, Great Grand Daughter Ava Duesing, Nephews Darren Rangel and Sky Rangel along with many cousins and friends.
He spent his latter years volunteering every morning with his beloved friends at the Canyon Lake Market and the Eastport Market. Daily he would go to the grocery store and buy food for his daily care packages that he would deliver to family and friends. He will be dearly remembered for his generous heart and his never ending story telling.
He will be interred at Green Hills Mortuary in Palos Verdes Ca on January 27th. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the service will be private.
