Donald Arthur Neureither

Donald A. Neureither, 85, of Torrance, Ca. passed away peacefully on February 24, 2020 at his residence in Torrance. Donald was born on September 5, 1934 in Grand Rapids, MI. Donald attended John C. Fremont High School in Los Angeles, Ca. graduating in 1952. After finishing High School Donald went to collage to receive a BA and MBA Degrees. Donald served in the United States Army from 19954 to 1956 as a Specialist 5 Radar Operator. Donald was hired by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in 1957. He served the County of Los Angeles for 33 ½ years with great distinction.

On October 14, 1961, he married the love of his life, Patricia Eileen (Beans) Neureither. Together they raised two sons, Michael and Gerald. In 1990, he retired from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Through the years after, he worked for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office as a Welfare/Fraud Investigator and then the Redondo Beach Police Department as a Reserve Police Officer. His law enforcement career spanned more than 58 years.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Louise Neureither and his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia. He is survived by his sons, Michael (Lisa), Gerald (Laura), his grandchildren, Tori Garcia (Anthony), Robert Neureither (Luz), Britney Ederer (Sean), Meghan Neureither (Fiancé- Ian Chaffey) and Allison Neureither. He was a great-grandfather to seven, Luke, Riley, Kaylee, Ryder, Presleigh, Cole and Anthony. Donald will be laid to rest with his wife, Patricia at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, Ca. Services for Donald are pending. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to your favorite charity in Donald’s name.
