Donald Dowds

Donald Louis Dowds passed away in Torrance on August 15, 2020 at the age of 47. He was born in Harbor City on April 16, 1973. He grew up in Carson where he attended local schools and played baseball at the local park into his teen years. He is survived by his father, Douglas Louis Dowds of Carson, sisters Debra Lynn (Javier) Munoz of Ontario, Darlene Lenore Lobato of Riverside and Danise Lorraine (Abel) Canizalez of San Pedro. He was predeceased by his mother Sandra Lynn Dowds and his oldest sister Diana Louise Dowds (Tim) Sullivan. "Uncle Bumbo" leaves six nephews, six nieces, three great nephews and one great niece. "Donnie" also left many friends, celebrities, customers and co-workers as he closed out his employment career with Whole Foods Markets.. A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Green Hills Memorial Park. Interment will follow.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions we must limit his memorial service attendance to a socially distanced 100 and are unable to offer a reception afterwards.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers friends consider a memorial in Donald's name to the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) or the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA).
