Dominic Matthew Russo

Mick Russo, born and raised in San Pedro, passed away at the age of 58, peacefully at home
with his family on November 29, 2023. He was born on July 9, 1965 to Rosalie and Matthew
Russo and was a brother to Matthew “Mattie” Russo. Mick graduated from San Pedro High
School in 1983. He was an entrepreneur and started his first business, San Pedro Window and
Building Maintenance at the age of 20. He served in ministry at Risen Son Ministries in San
Pedro, where he met his wife of 29 years, Diane Russo. They married in 1994 just after dating 5
months. Together they had one son, Matthew Anthony Russo, who truly was their gift from
God. He then started his second business, Russo’s Screen Service. He was a longshoreman with
ILWU Local 13 for over 26 years, where he became a dispatcher and crane operator for Pacific
Maritime Association.
Mick was a loving husband and a devoted family man. His family was everything to him. His
greatest joy was becoming a Papa to his two grandsons, Matthew and Ryder Russo.
Mick is survived by his wife Diane, son Matt, daughter in-law Mariyah, grandsons Matthew and
Ryder, mother Rosalie, father Matthew and brother “Mattie” Russo.
He was loved by many and will be greatly missed and in our hearts forever.
A Celebration of Mick’s Life will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes.
