Dolores Guzman Valles, also known by many as Loly and Grandma Loly, age 71, passed away in Hemet, CA on May 9, 2024, where she lived for the past 2 years. She was a beloved sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Dolores was born on July 25, 1952, in Fullerton, CA. She went on to attend Stephen White Junior High, Carson High School, Harbor College and later started working at LBS Federal Credit Union where she worked for 35 years. Throughout her career, she was known for her hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others. She retired April 1, 2022.
But more than anything, Dolores was a devoted grandmother to her little prince Xander. She loved spending time with her family, going out to eat, going to the movies, going shopping, dressing up for Halloween, visiting friends and in her earlier years, singing karaoke.
Dolores is preceded in death by her mother Dora Guzman Valles, father Edward Valles, Son Manuel Banales II, and Daughter Aurora Godoy. She is survived by her siblings, Edward Guzman Valles, Harry Guzman Valles, and Lee Nora Komrij, Son in Law, James Godoy, Grandson, Alexander (Xander) Godoy, her Nieces and Nephews, and many family and friends. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at Green Hills Memorial Chapel, 27501 S. Western Avenue, Rancho Palos Verdes, with a graveside service to follow.
