Dolores May Strosnider

Our beautiful Mother Dolores May Strosnider passed away on November 11, 2017. Dolores was born on May 20, 1933 in Long Beach, CA to Matilde Barcena and Martha Sumpter. Dolores was raised and lived in San Pedro all her 84 years where she met the love of her life Floyd "Jerry" Strosnider and were married for 61 amazing years. Dolores and Jerry were always together in life and now they are rejoined in heaven. Dolores' main job was raising her three children and spending time volunteering at Mary Star Elementary School where she was a member of the Ways and Means Committee. Dolores also had various jobs thru her life working at Newberries, Dunlap, United California Bank, noon aide at 7th Street School, San Pedro Hospital, Regan Offshore Drilling, and Boeing. After retiring from Boeing, Dolores spent time with her friends and was a member of the Saint Anne's Society. But her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Dolores is survived by her children Michael (Jill) Strosnider, Diane (Nick) Boskovich and Gerrilynn (Paul) Soto along with 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017, 11:30am at Green Hills Memorial Chapel with burial to follow in Green Hills Memorial Park.
