Dolores S. Lisica

February 16, 1932 — October 18, 2013

Dolores, the daughter of Frank and Jermina Ursich, was born February 16, 1932 in San Pedro, California and passed away peacefully on Friday, October 18, 2013 also in San Pedro, California. She was preceded in death by Christ Lisica, the love of her life and husband of 51 years, and two of her sons, Chris and Curt Lisica. Dolores is survived by her one son, Frank Lisica; four beautiful grandchildren; her brother, Frank Ursich, other relatives and friends. Dolores was an accomplished woman. She rose from part time file clerk to assistant librarian at the San Pedro Library. She became the treasurer of the Friends of the San Pedro Library. Being an excellent cook she donated all her time and effort to publish two cookbooks, Around the World, Around Our Town Recipes from San Pedro. Her warmth towards everyone was genuine. She truly loved her family, friends and country. She read 10's of thousands of novels, sailed 5 of the 7 Seas. Smoked Camels, loved Vegas and played Poker. She walked the high road but never looked down on anyone. Dolores gave more than she got and had all she ever needed. She lived a complete life. The Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29th at Green Hills Memorial Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes. Interment will immediately follow the service.
