Dolores Garren

Dolores Garren, a longtime resident of San Pedro passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on June 9, 2024 at the age of 90.

Dolores married James E. Garren in 1955 and taught kindergarten at 15th Street Elementary School, San Pedro for many years until retiring to take care of her husband James. Dolores loved her family and the many life-long friends she had in the South Bay area. She was an accomplished artist known for her diverse creative talent, strong Christian faith, and volunteering at many community organizations in San Pedro throughout her life.

Dolores is survived by her brother, David Dahlquist of Santa Rosa, CA, son James (Dan) Garren, of San Diego, daughter Lisa A. Augustine of Rolling Hills Estates and her four grandchildren (Tim, Jordan, Michelle and Ian).
