Denys Ellis was born in the Isle of Man in 1950. She was born to Pat and Doug Stuart; she is survived by husband Rick and her sister Tracy Crane. After high school she spent one year at El Camino College before being hired by United Airlines to become a flight attendant. She got married to Rick Ellis in June of 1971. Denys continued to fly for United for the next 33 years and traveled to many places within and outside the US. However, the location she loved to fly to was Hawaii and she and her flight attendant friends flew LA to Hawaii much of her 33 years of flying. Denys was known for her love of music, dance, and cooking. She and her husband were privileged to take many trips to Hawaii, Monterey, Napa, and other destination to share time with each other. She was diagnosed with early Alzheimer's about 8 years ago. She bravely lived each day after that diagnose knowing that there was no cure. Her parents and her sister took her back to the Isle of Man four years ago and she was still able to enjoy the time she spent in her birthplace with her relative there. Denys will be missed by all who knew her. Services will be held on November 3, 2013 at 1 PM at Green Hills Morturary in Rancho Palos Verdes.
