Demetria Ramones Galapir

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Demetria R. Galapir. She passed away peacefully at home on December 29, 2024. She was 92 years old.
Demetria, the oldest of 13 siblings, was born in Vintar, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, on July 3, 1932. She then immigrated to Hawaii in 1987 with her husband, Lorenzo, and their two daughters, Diadem and Prea, later moving to the mainland. She was a longtime resident of Paramount, CA.
She is survived by her children: Elvessa Galapir, Antonio Galapir (Esther), Darwin Galapir (Marites), Rowena Foronda (Raymundo), Marjorie Lorienton (Edgar), Diadem Galapir, Nyssa Bacica (Paul), and Marie Prea Galapir-Sahagun (Matt); 23 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her 4 brothers (Adelberto, Rudolfo, Benjamin, Salvador) and 3 sisters (Erlinda, Myrna, Farida).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Onesimo and Engracia Ramones; her husband, Lorenzo Galapir; sisters, Florida Ramones and Florfina Jose; her eldest son, Charlie Galapir; and grandson, Jaekob Bacica.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Green Hills Memorial Chapel.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the chapel, followed by interment.
