She married James H. Warner Jr. in 1961 and they were married for 39 years until his passing on February 27, 2001. In 1969 her daughter Laura Dawn was born.

She was devoted to her husband and daughter and loved travel (especially cruises), golfing, gardening, and action movies.

She enjoyed attending St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
She loved all her sisters and brothers from the many fraternal organizations to which she belonged. She was a Past Worthy Matron of San Pedro Harbor Chapter No. 174, Order of the Eastern Star, and a Past Grand Representative to Missouri in California. She was a licensed Amateur Radio Operator, a Hospital Volunteer and attended the Range Rover Driving Experience and Wilton School of Cake Decorating.

In her later years, she enjoyed keeping up with local news with the Daily Breeze, listening to KJaZZ, reading, watching Los Angeles Dodgers baseball, relaxing with her cats, and going out with her friend Eric MacNeil.

She loved to laugh and enjoyed a good joke, the sillier the better. Her husband’s and daughter’s happiest memories were making her laugh.

Della had a very full and fun life and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter and her cats Willow and Cherie.
