David S. Funada

David, the son of Shigeru and Wakayo Funada was born October 1, 1934 in Lanai, Hawaii and passed away peacefully on Friday, December 6, 2013 with his wife by his side. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. David was a long time resident of Rancho Palos Verdes. He will be remembered as a generous, humble, noble man who enjoyed gardening, sports, hiking and the love for his pets. David is survived by his loving wife Elena, of 44 years, siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews and many loving friends. Memorial services will be held on January 11, 2013, 11:00am at St. John Fisher Church, 5448 Crest Road, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275 (310)377-5571.
