David Todd Colmerauer

We grieve the sudden passing of David, at home the morning of November 19, 2012. David was born on June 1, 1970 and was a lifetime resident in the Walteria section of Torrance. He attended both South and Torrance High Schools, graduating in 1988. David enthusiastically participated in many sports. He was a talented motorcycle rider, skier, swimmer and skin diver. He was skilled in many construction areas such as framing, cement work, plumbing, painting, and heavy equipment. David was quite a "tinkerer" and could repair many appliances, sports equipment, and electronics and build and rebuild items from found and self-made parts. He loved animals and helping people in need from moving heavy furniture to fixing a flat tire, broken bicycle or leaking pipe. David is survived by his parents, Dennis and Janet Colmerauer, brother, Andy Colmerauer of Lomita; grandfather, Jean Keith Murray of Kenny Lake, Alaska; aunts, Alice Guerra of Rancho Cucamonga, Karen Collins of Torrance and Susan Murray of Ventura; uncle Dan Klute (and Melissa) of Colorado Springs and several cousins. Services are pending.
