David Babros

David Anthony Babros passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on January 31, 2016 in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif. He was born in Los Angeles on January 12, 1937 to Joseph Henry and Helen Sedona Babros, and had one brother, Joseph Henry Babros, Jr. David resided in Palos Verdes Estates for 44 years, where he and his wife Lilo raised their family of four children, David Jr., Kathlene, Peter and Diane. A devoted husband and father, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He and his wife Lilo traveled the globe together to Europe, Africa, Russia, China, Singapore and Australia. He was an active member of the Palos Verdes Golf Club where he spent time playing golf and cards with best friends. In his professional life, he was the CEO of Pacific Cage & Furniture, a family business based in downtown Los Angeles that was started by his father in 1923.
Earlier in his life, David served in the U.S. Army as an officer and a second lieutenant. He graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor's Degree in business. At UC Berkeley, he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity and played on the school's rugby team. He grew up in Los Angeles, where he and his wife Lilo met and were married in 1964.
David is survived and loved dearly by his wife, his four children and their spouses, Lisa, Juliet and Tom, and by his nine grandchildren, Jordan, Madeline, David III, Avalon, Tyler, Milena, Brayden, Gavin and Dustin.
