Dale Eugene Kind

Born 9/22/1924 in St. Cloud, MN, died 8/14/2013 in RPV, CA. Dale was raised in Kalispel, MT where he developed a keen interest in electronics, radio and music. One of his first jobs was as a technician in a radio station, Kgez. He became a ham radio operator early on and has continued to be very active in that endeavor. After high school he was drafted in the Army where he had more education in electronics. He worked in France for RCA and developed a fondness for wine. He returned to the US, moved west to CA and worked for Aerospace. He married Joan Richardson in 1960. She precedes him in death. Dale and Joan joined the Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club in 1965 and were passionate in racing their Cal 25. Dale became Commodore of the club in 1975 and remained active over the years. They both enjoyed playing bridge. He will be missed by a great many in the ham radio, aerospace and sailing community. He is survived by his sister, Renee; 3 nieces, 2 great nieces and 2 great nephews. There will be a Celebration of Life at CBYC, 9/21/2013 from 2 - 4pm. Please RSVP to 530-518-5040.
