Dale Lloyd Dorman

Dale Lloyd Dorman (90) of Torrance , Ca. passed away on November 11, 2022, at home with his wife, daughter and son present.

Dale was born to Adolph and Ruth Dorman on November 23, 1931 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He went to school in Freeborn County, and worked on the farm. He then joined the Army Air Corps in 1946 at age 15, but was kicked out because he was too young. In 1948 he was able to join the Air Force, and discharged in 1952. He moved to California to marry Arlene Schreiber of Torrance. He attended El Camino College and became a general contractor, started D&D Drywall and Dale L. Dorman Inc. both in Torrance, Ca. Dale enjoyed golfing, motorcycle racing, snow skiing, water skiing and traveling the world. The time with his family is what he enjoyed the most. Dale was a patron of Torrance Memorial Hospital.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, brothers: Robert, Richard, William, Donald, Junior, and Russell Dorman and sisters: Maxine Schoenecker and Suzie Bearden, as well as his first grand daughter Lindsey Browning of Mission Viejo, Ca.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Arlene Schreiber Dorman (89) of Torrance, daughter Dahlene Dorman Browning of Mission Viejo, her daughter and son in law, Lauren and Christopher Ostby of Mission Viejo and their children Caleb (6) and Mackenzie (4). Also survived by son Darrell Dorman of Culver City and his daughter and son in law, Dannah and Josh Lee of Roseville, Ca., step daughter and partner, Ashley Scheidel Smith and Jamie Smith of Newman Lake, WA.
