Cristina Artavia

Maria Cristina Teresita Camacho Fernandez de Artavia, 95, of Torrance, California, passed away on May 14, 2024.

Born on April 1, 1929 in San Jose, Costa Rica, to Ricardo Camacho Munoz and Maria Cristina Fernandez Alfaro, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

A devout Catholic, Cristina was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50+ years, Jose, her parents, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.

She is survived by her son Arnoldo and his wife Gloria, and by her son Carlos and his wife Charlee, as well as 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 2, at the Green Hills Memorial Chapel, Palos Verdes, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm, with a mass on Monday, June 3, at 10:00 am, at Nativity Catholic Church, in Torrance, followed by a graveside service at Green Hills Mortuary at 11:30 am.
