Corinne C. Holzer of Culver City passed away on July 7, 2017, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her husband and two daughters, having succumbed to her battle with Moya Moya Brain Disease which took her by surprise earlier this year. Corinne was a lifelong resident of Culver City. Shortly after graduating from Culver City High School, she met and married the love of her life, William E. Holzer III. Together they enjoyed camping, waterskiing and traveling the world. Corinne was a bookkeeper by trade but was most happy as a loving wife and mother raising her family. She was the world's best super-mom to her two daughters, Shanna and Briana. Corinne regularly volunteered at her daughters' schools the duration of their attendance, often making lifelong friends with the other room moms. As a family, the Holzers were blessed to make yearly travels and vacations together, building strong friendships and making some of the vacation destinations Summer traditions. In the earlier years, Corinne enjoyed finding seashells, exploring the tide pools and long bicycle rides while camping at the beach in Santa Barbara. She also taught her daughters how to water ski like her and their father, on their yearly camping trips to Dark Day Dam. As the family grew up, Corinne and both daughters joined in Bill's passion for scuba diving, trading waterskiing trips for global adventures anywhere a beautiful reef could be found. Corinne made friends wherever she was, whether serving jury duty or playing online games. For those who knew her, she is best described as the sunshine and light to all around her, uplifting everyone with her vivacious spirit and immense energy. She loved to bring happiness to others, sharing her warmth and unforgettable laughter. She is painfully missed but will be joyfully remembered by her many friends and family. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, William, her daughters, Shanna and Briana, and grandchildren, Madison and William, and brother, Glenn.
Funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Green Hills Memorial Chapel.
