Constance "Connie" Moore, 95, born on June 20, 1918 in Chickasaw, Pennsylvania, passed away in Torrance, California, on May 31, 2014. Connie is survived by three children, Sally McGuire (Patrick), Patricia Alcorn, and Joseph Seidenthal, along with seven grandchildren: Greg Cross (Laura), Tracey Magyar (Jozef), Jeffrey Alcorn (Carly), James McGuire (Kim), Michael Alcorn, Tricia Panock (Joel), and Amy Alcorn, and five great-grandchildren: Gianna Cross, Jackson Magyar, Aiden and Liam Panock, and Wyatt Alcorn. She is also survived by her brother, Victor Zaccaglin, along with many nephews and nieces.
Constance grew up in a large Italian family in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania and moved to Hawthorne, California in the 1940s. Hawthorne was to become her home for the rest of her life, and her 5 brothers and 5 sisters were constants in her life and she took great joy in their companionship over the years.
She is preceded in death by three husbands: Eugene Mullig, who died in Italy during World War II, Joseph Seidenthal, who she met at Northrop and married in 1947 and with whom she raised three children, died in 1963, and Roy B. Moore, who she married in 1975 and died in 1998. Roy's son Ray and wife Kathy, along with children Krista and Casey, became an integral part of the family.
Constance was a homemaker, but also an astute businesswoman who owned and operated apartment houses and laundromats in the Los Angeles area. She will be remembered for her kindness and generous spirit to all those she met along life's path.
Visitation will be June 4, 2014 3pm - 8pm at Green Hills Mortuary. Memorial services will be held on June 5, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Green Hills Memorial Park.
