Our earthly angel, Colleen Rundle Bebeck, took flight leaving her tired body just before dawn on Monday, June 25, 2012, with her loving husband Steve by her side. Born on February 3, 1954, Colleen grew up in the Bay Area and moved permanently to Southern California when she married Steve on September 21, 1991. She worked for United Airlines for most of her career and retired in 2008. She also developed her second career promoting the health benefits of Kangan water, which she called her "life-giving water." Colleen spent more than twenty years with Steve, living life fully. They traveled throughout the world, bringing back stories to keep us laughing and amused for years. They hit the road in their motorhome every chance they got. Ever the adventurer, Colleen learned to ride motorcycles and had her own Honda XR230. She was a traveler, never hesitating to hop on a plane to fly anywhere when one of her "Ya-Ya" girlfriends called. She maintained friendships for life, treasuring her girlfriends as sisters. Colleen loved being with people; her smile and laugh truly lit up the room. She sang and danced, she gardened, she cooked, she nurtured, and she was always curious to learn and study new things. Colleen is survived by her husband Steve Bebeck, her brother Dennis Rundle, her mother-in-law Barbara Bebeck, her brother and sister-in-law Greg and Alicia Bebeck, her nephew Brian Bebeck, cousins and her large family of friends. She was predeceased by her father John Rundle, her mother Bridgie Rundle, and her father-in-law Edward Bebeck. Colleen's life will be celebrated in a memorial service on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Green Hills Mortuary in Rancho Palos Verdes.
