Charles David Hodson, 92, of Seal Beach passed away on February 15, 2022. He was born on July 4, 1929, in Indianapolis, IN to the late Harry & Myrtle (Schuyler) Hodson. Charles graduated from George Washington High and attended Butler University's College of Pharmacy. After being licensed by the California State Board of Pharmacy, he became a favorite, always smiling, Seal Beach neighborhood Pharmacist at Sav-On/CVS for 38 years until he retired. On June 16, 1968, he married the love of his life Genelle Marie Johnson in El Monte. She preceded him in death in 2016. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, James Hodson & Beverly Joy (Hodson) Hughey. Charles believed in God's will, a greater purpose. He attended Shepherd's Grove in Irvine, formerly Crystal Cathedral where he & Genelle served on the Leadership Council. He also volunteered weekly for the New Hope Crisis Center where he helped many through divine intervention. "Uncle Dave" is survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces & nephews. We will greatly miss his sense of humor! There will be a graveside service officiated by Pastor Glenn DeMaster at Green Hills Memorial Park in Ranchos Palos Verdes, on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at 2pm.
