Celia C. Van Anda

Daughter of Margaret and Christian Christensen, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2014 at the age of 95. She was born on April 11, 1919 in Pilger, Nebraska, and had been a longtime resident of Torrance. Celia was the secretary of the South Bay Mental Health Society, president of the American Women's Baptist Society, and longtime member of the 1st Baptist Church of Torrance. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold; son, James Edward Van Anda, and brothers, John Alfred and Roderick James Christensen. Celia is survived by her son, Dean (Linda) Van Anda. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM, in Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes.
