Celia Leon

Celia, the daughter of Francisco and Cristina Rubio, and a resident of Carson for over 40 years, passed away unexpectedly on March 1, 2015 at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA. She was born September 12, 1928 in Guadalajara, Mexico and was preceded in death by Luis Leon II, the love of her life and husband of 40 years.

"Tita" Celia is survived by her three devoted sons and daughters-in-law, Luis III (Laura) Leon, Martin (Linda) Leon and Frank (Mariela) Leon; three siblings, Olivia Rubio, Javier Rubio and Maria Cristina Rubio; 11 beautiful and affectionate grandchildren, Marissa, Krystal, Luis IV, Reina, Frank Jr., Andrew, Marcos, John-Paul, Karina, Mario and Martin, plus many wonderful relatives and friends.

Celia, an incredible wife, mother, aunt and grandmother was deeply loved and known for her strong commitment and devotion to her faith. She will be forever missed but never forgotten as she touched so many hearts throughout her life.

Her Rosary will be on Friday, March 6th at 7:00 PM in the Green Hills Memorial Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 7th at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in San Pedro. Interment will immediately follow the mass at Green Hills Memorial Park.
