Cathy (Mary Catherine) Farris

Cathy (aka Mary Catherine Farris) was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on October 17, 1944 and left this earth to live with Our Heavenly Father on June 13, 2012 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She lived in the Harbor Area for the past 45 years. She is survived by the devoted love of her life of 38 years, Manuel R. Ortiz, sister Paula Auclair, brother Jeff Farris, cousin Sissy LeJune and niece Heather Widcamp. She was predeceased by her brothers Nafty Gerard Farris and John Farris II. Cathy held a Masters Degree in Business and was the Administrative Secretary to the President of Teekay Shipping Co. but retired due to medical circumstances. She was unique and special to each of us that knew and loved her. Friends and family are invited to visit Monday, June 18th at Green Hills Chapel 27501 S. Western Avenue, Rancho Palos Verdes. Viewing from 1-5 pm and Rosary at 7pm. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 19th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church 209 N. Hanford Avenue, San Pedro at 10am. followed by the burial at Green Hills Memorial Park.
