Catherine M. Ardaiz

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing our mom, Catherine Ardaiz, who passed away peacefully in her sleep February 22, 2017. Catherine was born in San Pedro on July 28, 1932 to Jesus and Catherine Arellanes. She attended Cabrillo St. School, Dana Jr. High and San Pedro high School. It was at Dana that she met the love of her life, Sam Ardaiz. They were married on November 23, 1949 and raised 4 children. Catherine is preceded in death by her parents Jesus and Catherine Arellanes, her husband Sam Ardaiz, son, Sam Ardaiz and her grandson, Brien Ardaiz. Her siblings, Evelyn Torres, Pete Jacobelly, Cecil Jacobelly, Ruben Arellanes and Tony Arellanes. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Rocky) Banda, Evelyn (David) Monje, Christy Ardaiz, her grandchildren, Catherine Mary (Rudy) Alvidrez, David Monje II and Ricky Monje, great grandchildren, who lovingly called her GG, Ronnie Flores, Leilani Alvidrez, Yvette Alvidrez, David Monje III, Maya Monje, Leo Monje, Reyna Monje, Ricky Monje II, Alexis Ardaiz, Ashley Ardaiz, Brien Ardaiz and many nephews and nieces and cousins.
