Carolyn E. Nelson

Carolyn Nelson (Warren), was born November 18, 1940 in Paragould, Arkansas. Her family moved to Bakersfield, California when she was 15 years old. She married Navy Seaman George H Clark in 1959, they had two sons. George was tragically killed in 1970. She was a hard working Mother to George H. (Joe) Clark II born June 28, 1960 and Charles Dean Clark born March 26, 1962 in Lomita, California. Carolyn married Alwyn Nelson in September of 1989 in Hawthorne, California. She was thrilled when Grandsons Daniel J. Clark born July 5, 1993 and Kenneth C. Clark born May 2, 2001 arrived to fulfill her life!

Carolyn was a kind and gentle person who cared about everyone. She and Al loved to dance and listen to music. The traveled together often, their favorite locations were Las Vegas and Hawaii! After Al retired from Northrop Aircraft they moved to Phoenix, Arizona, however, when they found out they were to be grandparents they moved right back to Los Angeles to enjoy their grandchildren!

In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to Children's Hospital of Los Angeles or St. Jude Children's Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee.
