Carol Marie Atkinson

Carol Marie Atkinson, passed away peacefully, on August 15, 2024. Carol is survived and will be greatly missed by her sons, Matthew and Zachary (Tiffany) and grandchildren, Sophia and Luca. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Carol was an accomplished flight attendant with American Airlines prior to meeting her husband Dave and relocating to El Segundo; where she served the skies for 42 years before retiring to spend more time with her family. Carol enjoyed caring for others and dedicated her life to being a loving mother. Her boys were her pride and joy and she would let anyone who would listen know how proud of them she was. You could often find her sitting poolside with her sons and husband enjoying a beautiful California summer day. In her last year of life, although she may not have recognized most others, whenever she would see her two boys she would always light up knowing they were special in her heart. Though she will be greatly missed, we are at peace knowing she is reunited with Dave and able to see all that she accomplished in life. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Friday, September 13th at 2:00PM at Green Hills Memorial Park. 27501 S. Western Ave. Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275.
