Carmen Galvan was born on March 13, 1937 to Adalberto and Juana Macias. She was the fourth born of eleven children. On December 22, 2023 she stepped into God's Holy presence, preceded by her husband of 61 years, Magdaleno Galvan Jr. She leaves behind a daughter, Sofia Galvan, and three sons, Edward Galvan and his wife Malinda, Mark Galvan and Avelina Galvan, Ernie Galvan and his wife Nancy. She was also blessed with 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She was a homemaker who loved to host parties for her large family. Her neighbors and relatives came to know her as the Avon Lady; delivering beauty items to your door with good cheer and laughter. She loved to create beautiful crocheted afghans and clothing items. Carmen served as President to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2967 Ladies Auxiliary and contributed her time and efforts to many VFW programs and community events.
Carmen loved to dance dance dance. Music was her happy place. When she laughed it was with joyous abandonment. She enjoyed life and leaves us with this personal message, “ I Have lived a rich life with my Husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Always live your lives to the fullest with love. I love you all. Always remember the teachings of Our Lord to love one another. God bless you all.”
