Calvin peacefully transitioned to his eternal home on August 10, 2023. He endured various health issues with a positive attitude and is now free from them all.
Calvin was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and was raised in Southern California. He was a member of the Jemez Pueblo native American tribe in New Mexico. He graduated from Leuzinger High School and attended college at Cal State Long Beach and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology Medical. He was a Water Quality Inspector for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power for many years. Calvin loved music. In his younger years, he was a professional drummer and part of a band called “Poison Oak” with his brothers and friends for many years. He also played in various worship teams at church. Calvin often called upon the name of Jesus throughout his day and now he is there with Him.
Calvin was survived by his siblings: Mildred, (Calvin) Lee, Josie, (Mike) Loretto-Pepe, Michael, (Chris) Loretto, Lorena, (Robert) Casarez and nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews that loved him very much. Calvin was a very generous, funny, and caring person. We will miss him greatly and his way of always making us laugh. We look forward to seeing him again.
