Calvin Gordon Canedy

Calvin Gordon “Cal” Canedy passed away in San Pedro, CA on September 20th, 2019 at the age of 80.

Cal is survived by his wife Nora Canedy also of San Pedro, CA. He is also survived by 5 children and their spouses and grandchildren: Son Calvin and spouse Carole Canedy, grandsons Cody and Christopher of Atlanta, GA, Daughter Carrie and Chris Munnerlyn, grandsons Cole and Cade of Austin, Tx, Son Craig Canedy and partner Havalyn Raeuber of Atlanta, GA, Daughter Crystal and spouse Dean Kimberly and granddaughters Sage and Ryelynn of Euharlee, GA, Step Daughter Valerie and spouse Walter Hallock of Virgin, Utah, and brothers Charles Canedy of Hartford, Connecticut and Craig Canedy of St. Petersburg, FL.

Cal was born on May 15, 1939 in North Adams, Massachusetts to Ruth and Charles Canedy.

Cal was the President of the San Pedro Golf Club, and a member of the Dalmatian-American Club and Elks Club.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Wednesday October 2, 2019 at 1:30 PM, with 1:15 PM arrival at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in San Pedro, followed by Funeral Procession to Green Hills Memorial Park for interment. Reverend Jeanette Repp will officiate the ceremony. Reception to follow at the home of Harriet and Terry Cox, 6205 Via Subida Rancho, Palos Verdes, CA, 90275 . All are welcome to attend and celebrate Cal’s life.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, where a tribute has been created in Cal’s honor. Donations can be made online http://www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org .
