Burkes Gerald Greene, the son of Solomon and Gertrude Greene, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2012 at the age of 90. He was born on December 28, 1921 in Georgia and had been a long time resident of San Pedro, California. Burkes is survived by his loving daughters, Linda S. Greene, Jameelah "Joyce" Majied; sons, Harold Greene, Michael J. Greene; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and former wife, Mariette D. Greene.
