In loving memory of Brien William Ardaiz, 39, who was born on September 6, 1976 in San Pedro California to Christine Leslie Tammen-Ardaiz and Samuel Joaquin Ardaiz. Brien passed away in his sleep in Seal Beach on February 2, 2016 but was taken from his family too soon.
Brien was a member of the San Pedro High School Class of 1994 and lived in the South Bay his whole life. He was a fourth-generation dedicated longshoreman and spent nineteen years on the waterfront. Brien was incredibly close to his mother, Christine, who he loved deeply. While Brien enjoyed golf, weight lifting and the thrills of snowboarding and dirt bike riding, his true love lay with his children. He enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible. Some of his fondest memories involved taking his children to amusement parks, swimming with them in his mother's pool, and going to the movies. He was a proud father of his three children who were, along with his mother, the inspiration to keep fighting his demons.
Brien is preceded in death by his father Samuel Joaquin Ardaiz, his grandmother Joyce Tammen and his grandfather Samuel S. Ardaiz. Brien is survived by his mother Christine Tammen-Ardaiz, his three children Alexis, Ashley, Brien Ardaiz and their mother Michelle Villanueva, and his wife Karla Bell-Ardaiz. He also leaves behind his great grandmother Catherine Ardaiz along with aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.
Please join the family to remember Brien. Memorial Services will be held at the Green Hills Chapel on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11:00 am. A graveside service will follow.
