In Loving Memory of Brian Cossio
January 10, 1979– December 21, 2024
The world has lost a truly remarkable man. Brian, a devoted son, nephew, cousin, and loyal friend, passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of intelligence, humor, and style that touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
Brian had a natural charm that made him unforgettable. He loved life and embraced it fully, from his sharp wit that could brighten the darkest days to his undeniable love for high fashion. His love for high fashion was legendary—he could spot a vintage Chanel bag from across the street and knew every stitch in a Balenciaga gown.
Madonna was the soundtrack to his life—an icon he adored and emulated with fierce loyalty. From “Like a Prayer” to “Vogue,” her music filled his days, and her daring spirit echoed in his own embrace of life. Her songs became the soundtrack to his many adventures and a reflection of his own fearless spirit.
As a cousin, he was the one who turned holidays into hilarious memories. As a son, he was the pride and joy of his family, showing up with love and devotion. And as a best friend, he was a rock, a confidant, and the comedic relief.
Though his time with us was far too brief, Brian lived a life full of love, laughter, and meaning. His memory will continue to inspire us to be unapologetically ourselves, to treasure our relationships, and to find joy in the little things.
Brian is preceded in death by his father, Oscar Cossio. He is survived by his loving mother, Ana Cossio, who will forever cherish his memory, his Aunt, Alina Strenkowski, his two cousins, Breanne O’Leary and Jacqueline Avedissian, and by countless friends whose lives he enriched with his kindness and charm.
Rest in peace, Brian. You will be deeply missed and always remembered.
