Brenda May Hollywood

Our mother, Brenda May Hollywood was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly on August 24th, 2023, at the age of 91. She was born in England to Albert and Dorothy Rousell on July 8, 1932.

Brenda was predeceased by her husband Derrick John Hollywood of 51 years of marriage. Brenda is survived by her three children, Trudy (Dan), Stephen (Lori), and Clare. Plus, five grandchildren, Shaun, Brittany (Carlos), Marlyssa (Cory), Daniel (Katie), and Taylor (Justin) and three great-grandchildren, Brixton, Briar, and Savannah with Sadie Bren on the way. Also, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews in England and Australia.

Brenda was a nursery schoolteacher who loved her students. She loved to travel with trips to England and cruises. Brenda loved spending time with family, baking in the kitchen, gardening, crossword puzzles, and she was incredibly lucky at the slot machines.

A private gathering is scheduled for 9 am to 12 pm on September 16, 2023, at Green Hills Mortuary in Rancho Palos Verdes.
